The Edmonton Oilers are a lowly team in the Western Conference standings.  Aside from their wealth of young skilled forwards, their defense and goaltending is severely lacking.  The Toronto Maple Leafs exploited that on their way to a 6-3 win.

The Leafs top two lines were all over the score-sheet in this game.  Kessel had two goals and one assist. Clarke MacArthur had a goal and an assist, while Mikhail Grabovski had two helpers.  Joffrey Lupul and Tyler Bozak got a goal each, with Jake Gardiner getting his second goal of the season.  While James Reimer’s shutout streak ended early, he made several key saves throughout the game, on his way to a 27 save performance.  Reimer now has 10 wins on the season.

The Maple Leafs don’t have much time to enjoy this success, because in less than 24 hours they will play the Winnipeg Jets.
